STUDENT WEBINAR AND QUESTIONNAIRE ON THE ACADEMIC MOTIVATIONS OF STUDENTS BENEFICIARIES OF SOCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

In addition to social scholarships granted from European funds within the project "Interventions for tertiary education - systemic measures to prevent and reduce university dropout", UEFISCDI is organizing, between June 8-12, a series of counseling or tutoring webinars .

The webinars will have a one hour duration and they will address themes like time managementeffective learningexisting support measures in universitiesstudent facilities, rights and obligations of students, managing emotions and stress or preparation for completing studies.

National Program "Student Camps" - academic year 2025-2026 - summer camps

Dear students, 

Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity (MMFTSS), through the Student Culture Houses and the "Tei" Student Cultural Sports Complex, organizes, during the student holidays, camps with a duration of 5 days, which take place in the mountains, at the sea and in the Danube Delta, in locations where access can be achieved by public transport.

Students who can benefit from places in these camps must be enrolled in undergraduate, master's or doctoral university study programs, in the form of education with frequency, regardless of the form of financing, be of age up to 35 years and fall into one of the following categories:

social cases – students orphaned by one or both parents, those coming from children's homes or family placement, apartments, emergency reception centers and maternity centers according to art. 123 of Law no. 272/2004, those of Roma ethnicity, high school graduates from rural areas, those who benefit from social scholarships, as well as students suffering from: tuberculosis, which is registered with medical units, during the period of tuberculostatic treatment, insulin-dependent diabetes, malignant diseases, severe malabsorption syndromes, chronic kidney disease in a dialysis program, moderate or severe persistent bronchial asthma, grand mal epilepsy, congenital heart disease, chronic hepatitis with advanced fibrosis (stage F3 or F4), glaucoma, severe myopia, severe autoimmune immunological diseases, rare diseases, autism spectrum disorders, severe hematological diseases that require continuous treatment or frequent hospitalizations, bilateral deafness, cystic fibrosis, those infected with the HIV virus or suffering from AIDS, those with locomotor disabilities and classified as disabled, these categories representing a minimum of 20% of the places allocated at UVT level;

students with outstanding academic results in the previous academic year or who had activities within the organized framework of universities, at various cultural, artistic, scientific, sports and volunteer events, including those held within legally established student organizations, full-time students (who passed the exams in all mandatory and optional study subjects in the previous academic year, and in the case of students in the 1st year of the bachelor's and master's degree cycle, students who are full-time students in the XNUMXst semester of the current academic year).    

Applications for a place in the student camps held during the summer of 2026 are submitted during June 3 - 14, 2026, by completing TO THIS FORM or by completing and sending a standard application to the address tabere@e-uvt.ro (according to the available model HERE), using the institutional email address @e-uvt.ro, or in physical format at the UVT Student Info Center (by completing the same application form). Only applications sent from the institutional email address will be considered (@e-uvt.ro), and these will be accompanied by the supporting documents attesting the involvement in extracurricular activities or the placement of the student in one of the social cases. The supporting documents for social cases are similar to those submitted for the granting of social grants, and if the student is a beneficiary of a social grant within the UVT in this academic year, in the process of registering for a camp place, he will no longer submit supporting documents of the situation social. 

The summer student camps will be organized between 20.07.2026 - 03.09.2026, in series of 6 days (5 nights of accommodation), with the exact series and locations where they will take place to be announced later, after this information is transmitted by the Timișoara Student Culture House to UVT.

During the camps, students benefit from FREE accommodation and meals.

The score for awarding camp places will be calculated according to article 3 of The methodology for distributing places in the student camps at the West University of Timișoara.

For the student camps held in the summer of 2026, the West University of Timisoara was allocated 89 places.The distribution of places by faculty is available. HERE.

 Calendar of the process of granting places in student camps:

June 3 - 14, 2026 – submitting applications for a place in the camp (by completing TO THIS FORM or by completing and sending a standard application to the address tabere@e-uvt.ro or at the Student Info Center)

June 15 2026 – displaying lists of candidates who have applied for a place in the camp;

- June 16 - 17, 2026 – the selection process of camp site beneficiaries;

- June 18 2026 – displaying the selection results;

June 19 - 23, 2026 - submission of any objections to the results of the selection process, to the e-mail address tabere@e-uvt.ro;

June 24 - 25, 2026 - the resolution of possible appeals;

June 26 2026 - displaying the final lists of students who are beneficiaries of the camp sites;

June 29 2026 – meetings with students to choose camp periods and locations;

June 30 2026 - displaying the final lists with the students benefiting from the camp places, divided by series and locations.

Submission of portfolios for granting credits for volunteer activity_sem. II, 2025-2026

In accordance with the provisions of Article 87, paragraph (2) of the UVT Charter, respectively of the Regulation on the granting of credits for volunteer activity, each UVT student can receive 2 transferable credits each semester for volunteering activities. Volunteering activities will be recognized for credit purposes only if they are carried out within an NGO registered in the UVT Directory of NGOs (which is available HERE) or if it is carried out within departments, faculties or for the benefit of UVT.

Student representation activity (membership in the Faculty Councils, the UVT Senate, the UVT Board of Directors, dormitory committees or other committees established according to the regulations, methodologies, procedures or decisions of UVT or UVT faculties) and unpaid activities carried out by UVT students within the various UVT component structures (e.g. departments, faculties, support in organizing events within UVT, support in the admission process or promotion of the UVT educational offer, etc.) can also be recognized as volunteer activities.

The submission of portfolios for the granting of credits related to the conduct of volunteer activities for this semester, according to Article 9 of the Regulation on the granting of credits for volunteer activity, is carried out:

• to be evaluated in session A-II, by 21.06.2026;

• to be evaluated in session B-II, by 05.07.2026.

The portfolio submitted by students for the granting of credits related to volunteer activities must consist of:

1. Activity report related to volunteer activities carried out during the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, based on which the granting of credits is requested - according to Annex 2 of the regulation;

2. Copies of diplomas, titles or certifications obtained as a result of volunteering activities – if applicable;

3. Certificate from the NGO registered in the NGO Directory of UVT or from the UVT component structures attesting to the student's carrying out, within them, volunteer activities lasting at least 60 hours during this semester;

4. Evaluation carried out by the volunteer's supervisor/coordinator within the NGO or UVT component structure in which the volunteer activity was carried out - according to Annex 3 of the regulation.
