The Masters Sustainable futures and urban change is located at the critical intersection of development, environment and urban transformations. In a multidisciplinary approach, we invite students to examine emerging problems that require urgent and complex policy interventions.
Understanding these critical junctures is a precondition for re-articulating the relations between society and the environment in a new politics of sustainable development. Placing the development-environment nexus in an urban context, this program examines recent developments in the field of sustainability and resilience.
This master’s degree offers new and interesting professional perspectives. As all courses in the curriculum have an applied perspective, we also maximize employment opportunities through Fieldwork, Internship and Volunteering. At the same time, we encourage students to explore their own academic and professional interests through optional courses and international mobilities. Thus, we provide new optional courses both in other faculties in the UVT and also in the European alliance of
universities UNITA.
